N. Conti's translation of the Italian ed. of 1557, published at Venice by Vico and Vincenzo Valgrisi; see Mortimer.

Paris, 1834, p. 176, no. 18.

T.p. engraved, with architectural border. The portrait heads after Roman coins and medals are in roundels, surrounded by legends that give the subject's name, within a beaded border. They are set in decorative, architectural, or landscape surrounds, some of which contain empty roundels, without heads. Initials.

Errata, p. [193-196].

Mortimer, R. Italian 16th cent., 533
